Buyers Club
In lieu of a CSA, this year I opted to
have two Open Farm days each
month during the off-season for
customers who want to come out to
the farm and stock up on products.
The Open Farm days will take place
on the first and third Saturday 10 am
to 4 pm each month from December
through April.
Come see where your food is
produced!

Open Farm Days
As much as I love the idea of a meat CSA (community supported
agriculture), I've found that increasingly customers want to determine
what they do and don't receive in terms of protien choices as well as
additional products, many that are often produced by other farmers in
geographical proximity such milk, cheese, butter, bread, vegetables,
etc.
My goal, my passion is to farm and raise the best possible meats in
an environmentally and socially sustainable manner--not spend an
incredible amount of time (and hydrocarbons) driving from farm to
farm to pick up products and then glean a small percentage to cover
my costs.
I have spent many years promoting, marketing, selling and delivering
products for other farmers. I have witnessed as many CSAs have
morphed into cooperatives--I'm not saying this a bad thing, just not
my thing.
That is why I must return to the model of raising meat, harvesting
when it is ready (as opposed to when it is wanted) and having
customers purchase what is available. This is a win-win situation that
will keep you well-fed with delicious and healthy meats and ensure
I'm not left pulling out my hair when people demand fresh "pastured
poultry" in the dead of winter or explain why I can't pick up a gallon of
raw milk for them an hour before I leave for out-of-state deliveries.
To keep things simple, each month I will deliver to pre-determined
drop off points. The week prior to drop-off, I will provide a link to
what's available via email and assorted social networking media.
Send your order in by the deadline and I will provide an invoice via
email with your total prior to delivery.
